On December 9,2019,Vice President Guo Xun leda team ofthe Scientific Research Department ofIDPand a delegation of 4 people from Beijing Disaster Prevention Technology Co., Ltd. tovisitHebei Seismological Bureau for investigation. Dai Bosheng,director of the Seismological Bureau of Hebei Province, Gao Jingchun, deputy director of the Bureau, andsome other peoplefrom theScience and Technology Department, Earthquake Prevention Department,Xiong'anCenter and Earthquake Prediction Center of the bureau attended thereception.

Guo Xun introduced the situation of Hebei Provincial Key Laboratory of Earthquake Dynamics jointlyestablishedbyIDPand Hebei Seismological Bureau, and hoped that during the construction period of the laboratory, theschoolandthebureau would work together to plan the organizational structure, research direction, safeguard measures and construction scheme of the laboratory. Gao Jingchun, deputy director of Hebei Province, hoped that the two sides would cooperate in disaster risk assessment, research and development of earthquake mitigation and isolation technology, and expand the connotation and outer edge of earthquake prediction so as to jointlycontribute toresearch and development achievements serving social and economic development. The two sides discussed the organizational structure of the academic committee, management committee andmanagementoffice of the key laboratory and reached a preliminary agreement on the composition of the laboratory. The two sides agreed to come up with a plan for research as soon as possible and to hold the inaugural meeting and the first academic committee meeting. The two sides also exchanged technical cooperation issues on the application of seismic mitigation and isolation technology, active fault detection and seismic risk assessment, earthquake disaster risk investigation, seismic performance appraisal and reinforcement of buildings, and hoped to carry out practical cooperation in the construction ofXiong'an new area and earthquake disaster prevention in Hebei Province.
